NOLAlicious #46, November 23 to 29, 2010 Dear New Orleans, New Orleans greeted me from a summer vacation spent in NYC, DC and all places north-east with the intense feeling of being home. I shared moments, greetings and smiles with strangers passing by on the streets, and felt the comfort of sitting in familiar places and seeing familiar faces wash over me. After wandering for so long, being able to wander home is a refreshing change. This will be my second Thanksgiving in New Orleans, but my first while calling it home. I can’t help but look forward to going to the the race track and sharing the inevitable deliciousness of a meal (and perhaps the rum egg nog or two) with friends. What I find here in those shared moments passing me by, whether with friends, family or strangers, is what makes this home for me. Don’t miss those passing moments. I won’t. Yours, Carl and the NOLAlicious Team
