GO Head out to Lakeside this weekend for the Back To The Beach Festival, held at the end of Williams Boulevard in Kenner. The Lake Pontchartrain Basin Foundation sponsors the festival, which features live music, great local food, arts and crafts, and lots of children’s activities. A two-mile run along the beach kicks off the fest Friday night, followed by a motorcycle rally and a car show Saturday. The Rebirth Brass Band and Bucktown All-Stars, among others, provide the tunes. Friday, 6 PM, Saturday, 3 PM, Sunday, 10 AM. $10 entrance fee, kids 12 and under only $4 GO Bring your furry friend out for a grown-up night on the town at “Toasts and Tiki-Tails,” a wine tasting sponsored by Canine Connection. The Uptown pet boutique and kennel invites guests to an evening of wine, snacks and music, backed by live music from Pan Vibrations Steel Band. And don't be afraid to break out those doggy sweaters – a costume contest rounds out the evening. (We're assuming the contest is for pets, but feel free to dress up just in case.) Please leash all companions. Thursday, 6 PM to 8 PM $10. DO Practice your sun salutes in the sunshine an outdoor yoga class, held the first and third Saturdays of every month in the sculpture garden at NOMA. The early-morning class is taught by a certified yoga instructor in the magical sculpture garden, known for its contemporary works and lush landscaping. It's a great way to restore yourself after a high-intensity Friday night, or as a one-off for those of us too busy to attend regular classes. Registration required. Saturday, 8 AM. $10 nonmembers, $5 members. LAGNIAPPE Registration for the annual Red Dress Run is now open. Friends have told us it's an experience not to be missed - and even though the run isn't until August 14, we've been told we need to start looking around town for the right red dress right now.
