May 25 to 31, 2010 Dear Friends, It's hard to believe Memorial Day weekend is upon us already. This weekend has activities for all interests, ranging from the New Orleans Wine & Food Experience's five-day extravaganza to a formal protest in Jackson Square on Sunday in the wake of the catastrophic oil spill and the long awaited grand opening of the Canal Place Theatre is this week with the premiere of the new Sex in the City 2 movie. We'd love to know your plans, tweet us at @NOLAlicious with your weekend travel itinerary! As for a little housekeeping from us, we have three exciting announcements to make! First, we have a new website for NOLAlicious. If you haven't visited us in awhile, click on over and let us know what you think. We have all of the NOLAlicious back issues of newsletters, an online store and a place to buy the official NOLAlicious t-shirt and of course, our New Orleans photo gallery. Second, our family has grown! Please join us in welcoming our summer interns Kat Stromquist and Martin Strickland to NOLAlicious. They bring with them a true passion for New Orleans and a keen sense of what "not to miss" each week in New Orleans and we're really excited to have them on board. And lastly, we are excited to have been featured by Miss Malaprop in this month's Anti Gravity! Have a safe and wonderful Memorial Day weekend, P.S. Our own in-house photographer, Taylor, took amazing photos during Gulf Aid, which raised over $300,000 for families affected by the oil spill. Check out the pictures on Facebook here and here. P.P.S. Join NOLAlicious in a house build THIS FRIDAY with the St. Bernard Project as part with the Women's Rebuild Week. Join us!
